Background

Loop is a first of its kind research network developed out of Frontiers, the technology-driven open access scholarly publisher based in Switzerland.

Loop is an open network that can be integrated into 3rd party academic websites – making it the most salient distinguishing feature to any other academic network.

Loop is currently integrated into two publisher’s websites, Frontiers and Nature Publishing Group, as well a university website, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). Further Loop integrations are being discussed with universities and other organizations worldwide.

Why integrate Loop?

Loop is the first network that is integrated into the publisher’s workflows and links author profiles to the original articles on the publisher’s website.

Articles are cross-referenced to ensure that authors are discovered via the original articles thereby engaging the world’s top-end researchers.

Loop is the first open network that can be integrated into any academic website.

Loop has a unique, collaborative approach to work together with institutions to provide a single platform for researchers to find a host of useful and relevant academic tools.
